DR. COREY E. BURR

Dr. Corey E. Burr was born in Myrtle Beach, SC and grew up in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. She attended East Carolina University where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health with a concentration in Pre-Medical studies, as well as a minor in Business Administration. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in May of 2020. She loves serving her community through the profession of optometry and looks forward to being more involved in different local societies.

Dr. Burr has worked with several low vision specialists, vision therapy specialists, and top pediatric optometrists during her time at ECU and Southern College. During her training, she developed a particular interest in the treatment and management of ocular diseases including diabetes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Dr. Burr also specializes in dry eye treatment and one of three doctors that offer the OptiLight for dry eye. This is the first and only IPL FDA-approved treatment for dry eye disease caused by MGD (meibomian gland dysfunction).

Dr. Burr and her husband, Ethan, currently reside in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. She is an active member of  the North Carolina State Optometric Society and American Optometric Association.

DR. ELIZABETH COOKE

Dr. Elizabeth Cooke is a native of Statesville, North Carolina. Dr. Cooke graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Biology and Chemistry. She attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Cooke graduated with honors, receiving a Doctor of Optometry degree in 2005. Dr. Cooke also specializes in dry eye treatment and one of three doctors that offer the OptiLight for dry eye. This is the first and only IPL FDA-approved treatment for dry eye disease caused by MGD (meibomian gland dysfunction). She moved to Brunswick County in 2005, joining the Vision Square Eye Care practice.

DR. STEPHANIE HARDY

Dr. Stephanie Hardy was born and raised in Pinehurst, North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. While in college, she worked as a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant. She later received her Bachelor of Science in Vision Science and her Doctor of Optometry degrees from the Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Dr. Hardy is a licensed Doctor Of Optometry in both North Carolina and Florida. She is a proud member of the Lions Club International, the North Carolina State Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association and the American Optometry Association. Dr. Hardy thoroughly enjoys serving her patients and looks forward to being involved in the community. She, her husband, and children happily reside in Shallotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Debbie Webb

Dr. Debbie Webb is from Laurinburg, NC. She graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, with a degree in Biology. She attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, receiving a Doctor of Optometry degree in 1997. Starting her own practice in Laurinburg in 1998, she enjoyed seeing patients in her hometown. Dr. Webb moved to North Myrtle Beach in 2004 and joined Vision Square Eye Care in September of 2007. With friends and family in this area, she loves practicing optometry in this community. Dr. Webb is an active member of the North Carolina State Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

DR. Zachery Stephenson

Dr. Zachery Stephenson graduated from the University of Pikeville – Kentucky College of Optometry. He completed his undergraduate studies at North Carolina State University where he obtained a BS degree in Human Biology with a minor in business administration. His passion for optometry started in his hometown, Benson, NC, where he was introduced to the field at a young age by other local optometrists. After his didactic training, Dr. Stephenson underwent three rotations across the southeast. He was trained by some of the best Ophthalmologists and Optometrist in the country, with a focus on glaucoma, vitreoretinal disease, and preventive primary eye care. Here in Brunswick County, he provides comprehensive visual care in addition to full scope management of ocular disease, infection, inflammation, and trauma. Dr. Stephenson also specializes in dry eye treatment and one of three doctors that offer the OptiLight for dry eye. This is the first and only IPL FDA-approved treatment for dry eye disease caused by MGD (meibomian gland dysfunction). Dr. Stephenson is licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina. He is an active member of the North Carolina Optometric Society and American Optometric Association. Outside of Optometry, Dr. Stephenson enjoys his time on the golf course, playing ice hockey, and spending time with his friends and family.

Dr. Herbert Smith

Dr. Herbert C. Smith grew up in Marion, SC. He graduated from The Citadel in Charleston, SC with a degree in Biology. He went on to Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1977. Over the years he has worked both private and corporate practices, including United States Navy. He is also a member of both the North Carolina Optometric Society and American Optometric Association. He has shared his love of optometry in many ways. He has lectured at meetings, schools, and legislation. He looks forward to being involved in the community. He and his wife Sabrina reside in Lockwood Folly, NC.
